Born In Philadelphia, in 1970, Jenny began painting at the age of 9. After mastering paintings of oranges and boots, she moved onto the human figure. In 1988, she attended Barnard College where she studied art and art history. In New York, she learned the art world ways through her work at White Columns, working with Bill Arning and Paul Ha. In 1998, she received her Master's Degree in Fine Art from New York University. She has exhibited in New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, McClean, Richmond, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Berlin, and had work in multiple publications.
She currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA.
In 2023, her first book, “This Terrible True Thing,” an illustrated novel, will be published by Blackstone publishing. Set in 1991 it tells the story of a teenage girl whose gay father contracts HIV. More to come
